We pray amen all right. Our lesson, uh, the Israelites, craving meat, exodus, 16 verses, 9-13 amen. And the scripture lesson takes read then Moses spoke to Aaron say to all the congregation of the children of Israel come near before. The lord for he has heard your complaints. Now it came to pass as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel that they look toward the wilderness and behold, the glory of the lord appeared in the. Clown and the lord spoke to Moses saying, I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel speak to them saying at twilight, you shall eat meat. And in the morning, you shall be filled with bread, and you shall know that I am the lord your god.

So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp. And in the morning, did you lay all around the camp amen? As we look at these verses, 9 says, then Moses spoke to Aaron saying to all the congregation of the children of Israel come near before. The. Lord for he has heard your complaints as we see, it is repeated and again, to observe to them the evil of them complaining and that. And what notice the lord took of it that he came into the camp to where because of their complaining, though he indulged them in so gracious a manner as he did, you remember in the beginning, god called just moses asked for help and got Aaron the chain of authority.

Then was god to moses to Aaron and Aaron to the congregation. God had heard their. Complaints and told them through Moses and Aaron to come near before him verses 10 and 11 says now it came to pass as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel that they look toward the wilderness and behold, the glory of the lord appeared in the cloud, and the lord spoke to Moses saying, as we uh, see here, uh, they didn't realize they had angered god with their grumbling and complaining, uh that they are never. So they are not satisfied. They always wanted to holler that me. Wanted to go back to Egypt, even though they were the ones that requested to leave Egypt because of their uh hard task, masters amen.

As we see here, we have already learned that the presence of the lord was with them on this journey to the promised land. It appeared to be a pillar of fire night and a pill of smoke by day. Somehow god made them aware of his presence in the cloud, perhaps a bright light was present, or something of that nature. God appears many times in the form of a fire, such as the. Burning bush, we do not know how he made the glory of the lord known. We do know that he did, you know, as they look back and saw, uh in the cloud in the wilderness that his presence was there. It was some type of way that they were made aware that.

His presence was there at that moment amen. So they uh was able to understand when he was him himself was there or just the cloud and the smoke was there amen as I have heard verse 12 and 13, the complaints of the children of Israel speak to them saying at. Twilight you shade meat and in the morning, you shall be filled with bread, and you shall know that I am the lord your god. So it was that queers came up and evening and covered the camp and in the uh at evening. So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp. And in the morning, the dude lay all around the camp with the uh MANA amen. This gave proof of his power as the lord and his particular favor to them as their god.

When god plagued the Egyptians, it was to make them know that he was. The lord when he provided for the Israelites, it was to make them know that he was their god. It seems to me if they did not realize by now that this was god fighting for them and protecting them. They were very hard to convince and had a very bad understanding as well. God raining meat.

Well in the evening and bread in the morning should be evidence enough. God also had made them aware of the presence of the lord when his glory appeared in the cloud, god wanted them to know beyond a shadow of a doubt. That he is god and that they belonged to him, and they were his children people that he was trying to protect him and take care of him when he uh, uh, uh, parted, the Red Sea when he gave him water out of the rock. I mean, all these things they do not realize that he's god, amen that all the plagues that that god put on the Egyptian for them, uh, they distilled.

They didn't recognize. They didn't realize it or see it amen. The psalmist removed all doubt about whether these birds of the pastry family. We're not real birds, but something else for he called them winged foul. And in the preceding line of the parallel parallelism referred to the coming of the quails as god, heaven rained meat on them psalms, 78 and 27 upon return to their former habitat, these migratory birds who would often fall to the ground exhausted from the prolonged flight in ancient, Egyptian paintings, people were shown catching quails by throwing nets over the brush of the brush where they were rested when they were nested. And.

Then, and as we see also, uh, even though they, you know, this was a habit that they did, uh, uh, when they got so tired that they would just, you know, fall down. There was no way that many quails fell down defeat over a hundred thousand people or hundreds of thousands of people in one area at one time. There was no way possible. God made this happen. Amen man, as I stated, uh, previously man, always is trying to give excuses a reason why something was not of god, but the the.

And this was the Israelites. Problem, they studied wanting to, uh, put the uh, uh, the ability on man, uh on something else that happened. Instead of accepting that god was taking care of him. He was protecting them, and he was bringing them out because they had brought them there that they would be protected and grew to a humongous group of people. Now he was bringing them out amen. This is a great lesson.

I pray you meditate on this lesson and have a wonderful and blessed day. God, bless you.
